This class is for the practitioner who can hold a 15 second handstand using a wall
Using techniques from yoga, gymnastics, capoeira and circus arts, we’ll find creative ways to get comfortable being upside down and how to fall safely. This class will help in building a technical foundation for hand-balancing. We will prepare the wrists, and review handstand body-line drills with an intention on inverting early and often throughout class. We will use the wall, and introduce drills aimed at finding ways to balance without the wall and others to fall safely when one is ready to move away from the wall.
It is recommended that you be able to hold a handstand or forearm stand with feet on the wall (not balancing) for a minimum of 15 seconds before taking this class.
